Student Agendas
|
ATMS requires all students to keep their student agenda up to date throughout the year. If students lose their planner, or if pages have been removed, they will be expected to buy a new planner for $8.00.
|
Early and Late Arrivals
|
Our school day begins with a warning bell at 8:15 am and finishes at 2:21 pm. The building opens at 7:45 am, however some students may be asked to arrive earlier.
Students arriving early between 7:45 am - 8:00 am are expected to wait outside until the morning bell rings. Students should be prepared for inclement weather and make sure they have an umbrella, suitable footwear and appropriate jacket.
Late arrivals are unfair interruptions for the class. Students are expected to be present and punctual for all classes. If a student is late, he/she must check in at the school office, pick up a late slip and give the slip to the teacher upon entering the class.
If a student has not been pick up by 2:30 pm he/she must report to the front hallway, near the main entrance to await pick up.

School Visitors
|
To help us maintain the security of the building and safety of the student, all visitors (including parents) are expected to check in at the school office immediately upon entering the school.
Parents dropping off lunches, homework, planners, etc. for their child are asked to leave these items at the office, and we will page your child during the break or when announcements are made. |
| Abbotsford Traditional Middle School has a closed campus policy. This means that only students who attend ATMS are to be on the school grounds during the school day. It also means that students must remain on school grounds during regular school hours. Students being picked up throughout the day should be met in the school's office. For security reasons, a parent or guardian is required to "sign out" students leaving the campus. |
Attendance
|
Regular attendance is one of the keys to success. Students are expected to be present each day during school hours. If for any reason your child will be absent from school, please notify the office by 8:30 am. For your convenience, we have an answering machine so you can leave a message the night before. Phone number: (604) 850-3511. |
